Starting their wedded bliss with a foot loose, fancy-free, unplanned trip. (I'd make sure to at least book a posh hotel for the first two nights) While this isn't for everyone, it sure has some panache! And you can use the idea and give it your own twist- say rent a car for a day without planning where you are going to drive to, or rent a boat and set sail for the afternoon, even a bike trip somewhere that will surprise yourself and your loved one. After all, it's not always the destination, but the journey to get there. :)
