Historic Hope Glen Farm Weddings & Events

I got to tour Historic Hope Glen Farms in Cottage Grove today that hosts weddings and events.  

I absolutely love their 1860 Civil War Barn with loft!  

Includes:
 * Bridal Getting Ready Room with barn wood walls and style that is simply charming.  
 *Great Pastureland & Mature Trees for Outdoor Ceremonies,
 * Huge Pavilion with Fireplace that can also be plan B for inclement weather.
 * Super nice real running bathrooms in the corn crib.

As well as the exciting news about their upcoming expansion of a Honeymoon Tree House in their plans.   

The owners, Michael & Paula Bushilla have a heart and passion to bring hope to each and every event.  They are a true delight and their hope shines!

My only wish is that I brought my camera on my tour today ... these pictures were taken with my camera phone. But gives me a reason to return and take more pictures!  Cant wait!

TCWP Celebrates Three Years at the Minneapolis Club

What a spectacular event at the Minneapolis Club for Twin Cities Wedding Professionals Celebrating Three Years!  I count it such a joy and privilege to be a part of this amazing networking group of wedding and event professionals.

Minneapolis Club is located in the heart of downtown Minneapolis.  The club was organized in 1883, and it's current building was built in 1908.  Gorgeous renovations have been made.   It is a beautiful place for any special event, weddings, receptions and more.

Crowne Plaza Bloomington - The Place To Meet

It was a pleasure meeting Amy Jenner, Sales Manager & Ashley Berlin, Meeting Director at the Crowne Plaza Bloomington.  This hotel is centrally located in the business district of Bloomington, Mn, about eight miles from the MSP airport.

The Van Dusen Mansion ~ Spectacular Wedding Venue!

The Van Dusen Mansion built in 1892, located in Minneapolis is simply breath taking.   It has a magical, romantic feel throughout that is sure to impress.   I recently enjoyed a holiday event there, and it was so fun to hear people saying how they were falling in love with The Van Dusen as they strolled through the venue.  It has amazing charm, romance and beauty everywhere you look. 

Perfect location to host both the ceremony and reception, creating the most elegant and memorable event.  The space beyond the mansion is also amazing with their Grand Event Center, lovely courtyard and two-tiered Carriage House.    The Carriage House has an element of surprise and just continues to take your breath away, it's contemporary, hip and gorgeous!  I just love the two levels and being able to see down to the dance floor.   It makes for a marvelous, unforgettable event.

Jennifer and Matt Anderson are incredible venue hosts that go beyond your expectations, creating a warm and welcome environment with such kindness and hospitality.   Mintahoe Catering provides excellent food choices with great detail for appeal, taste and the wow factor.  Lisa Brenna & Elizabeth Hinke, Event Consultants with Mintahoe planned and created an awesome display of appetizers and food that was fantastic!

Weddings and Events at The Gale Mansion

I toured the Gale Mansion with their event coordinator, Sarah Gruber and found this venue to be incredibly charming and romantic.  It's a fantastic venue for those looking for a mansion wedding in Minnesota.  It is located just south of downtown Minneapolis and was built in 1912.  

An awesome location that would accomodate both the ceremony & reception.   An outdoor ceremony in the courtyard would be amazing, with a social hour in the main level amongst gorgeous woodwork, built-ins, fireplaces and historic charm, followed with a reception in the lower level  (elevator included) that has great space for formal dining, a stage for live entertainment and dancing.  Great space alloted for the getting ready rooms for the entire bridal party.   Pictures at this venue would be absolutely stunning with all the natural light that streams in with the gorgeous windows everywhere.

What I loved to learn about Sarah Gruber as their event coordinator, is that she stays for the entire event with her brides, ensuring all the details are attended to and creates a day that is sure to please.

Happy New Year Wedding

What a gorgeous New Year's Day Wedding Venue at 413 On Wacouta in St. Paul!  This wedding venue as it has it all --- onsite ceremony suite, amazing reception area with historical charm, walk to Mears Park, and best of all --- taking Roof top pictures!   Makes for an incredible wedding day all in one area!
Lynn McCullough, owner of 413 On Wacouta Event Center is an absolute delight to work with!   It was a joy to photograph this special event for her son & new daughter-in-law!  Congratulations Ryan & Vicki!

May Wedding in Pine City, MN

Delight Photography was thrilled to photograph a simply lovely wedding in Pine City with gorgeous spring flowers against plum bridesmaid dresses. Such a beautiful combination!   A cool reception idea that I've never seen before ..... a candy buffet. It was a hit with young and old alike! 

Ceremony was at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Pine City, Mn.  Flowers by The Flower Box in Pine City, Brides dress was from The Wedding Connection , and their Tuxes came from Aitkin Floral and Gifts.

Doubletree Guest Suites - Minneapolis, Mn

We had the pleasure of touring Doubletree Guest Suites in Minneapolis.   Located one block from Nicollet Mall, in the heart of downtown Minneapolis.   Very nice hotel!  Plush rooms.  Cool work out gym with room to work out --- not just a bunch of mirrors.  (Ha!)  Versital meeting rooms for up to 65 people.  Perfect for hosting bridal showers, gift openings, grooms dinners, mixers and more.   We found out they offer free shuttle service from the couple's reception venue to their site, where the wedding party can continue their celebration and wind down with an after hours party.   The suites we toured were awesome --- fully equipped with fridge, microwave, sitting area and plush bedding.  We were treated to some fantastic appetizers in their Cafe Luxx with their amazing Executive Meeting Manager, Donae Cotton.  She was incredibly knowlegeable about their facility and a perfect hostess.  She even sent us home with a tin of their signature cookies!  Sweet!
